In a 61 possession game (slow to moderate pace), the Huskies held a 98-90 edge in offensive efficiency. Forced into a perimeter game by the UCONN defense, Michigan State did not visit the foul line as frequently. On the other hand, the Spartans were forced into a high turnover rate (below 20% is acceptable) while Kevin Ollie’s club cared for the ball in an excellent manner.

Huskies took advantage of drawing fouls by converting 21 of 22. As Ollie said, "sometimes toughness is expressed by getting to the line and making those shots.
Most Outstanding Player of the regional, UCONN’s Shabazz Napier paced all scorers with 25 points.

Now, college basketball’s final weekend awaits.
