He also told Blaudschun that he wouldn’t be surprised if some kind of announcement were made in the next two weeks. Calhoun backed off that prediction just slightly Thursday, but still sounded as if his retirement was an actual possibility soon.

In a survey of 13 UConn recruits, 12 said they'd be more likely to commit if Ollie was named "coach in waiting." However, only four said the lack of a "coach in waiting" would make or break their decision. One of those four is widely considered a top-30 prospect in 2014.
