Today is the first full day of Kevin Ollie's tenure as UConn's head coach. He made a heck of an impression on me yesterday, and based on the comments I don't think I was the only one. Still, the hire has not come without controversy. UConn only gave Ollie a one-year contract and might be embarking on a national coaching search as soon as next spring. So we want to know what you think. Should Ollie have been the guy? Should he have a longer contract? Should UConn have tried a search right now? Vote below to share your thoughts and give us your reasoning in the comments.

It was a good choice, but UConn should still launch a national search in the spring. (34 votes)
It was a mistake. A one-year contract hurts recruiting and he deserves more time. (38 votes)
