Let's play a little game. You are a major college sports conference, you have $20M kicking around.... what do you do with it?
A - Hire a new commissioner?
B - Hire a consulting group for your image?
C - Hire a consulting group for a new name and logo?
D - Assist new members to get to the league?
E - All of the above?
This seems to be one of those points in time where we need leadership in the conference. I often wonder who is running the show, who is reaching out to to the presidents to make bold proposals and keep us afloat.
Seems to me if we do well with A, and our teams crush that OOC schedule for several years, we will not need B. I think we need C to build a stronger sense of community when the membership changes are firming up.
Thoughts?
