Let's get something clear: January sucked. On December 31 UConn easily dispatched St. John's to move to 12-1 and 2-0 in the Big East. Then the wheels came off the bus, UConn lost five of its next seven, Ryan Boatright got jerked around by the NCAA and the team just wasn't fun to watch.
But now, now it's February, that magical month where Jim Calhoun teams gel, go on earth-scorching win streaks and earn the high seeds that lead to March glory. I can't promise that will start tonight, but with a new-look starting lineup featuring Ryan Boatright, the Huskies better hope it starts soon, because if this isn't the answer, I'm not sure UConn is finding one.

i wish there was an ESPN channel that had live competition on 24/7, don’t even care what sport or what country. It would keep me in a job and be better than 3/4 of what is on. Australian rules football, cricket, dog sled racing, judo, cliff diving bring it all on.

But a (preliminary) look indicates, short answer: No, but it’s bloody close. There was a 4 game stretch in 1997 that was worse. (Actually a couple, but they all include the same games. Ironically enough it ended against Georgetown).
If we open it up to 5 games, there was another cluster in 1987. Also ending with….wait for it…Georgetown. So…Hope??? But…also…to quote the Asian groundskeepers from Major League II, “we’re shitty again”
