UConn has postponed the football season opener against Fordham this Thursday night. The Huskies and the Rams were supposed to square off at 7 p.m., but the Connecticut National Guard is using Rentschler Field as part of it's response to Hurricane Irene, so it will not be available. The thought at the moment is that the game will be rescheduled for Saturday, but that has not been confirmed yet.
