UConn football off-season thought

Now that Coach Edsall is gone - can the athletic department please axe that stupid crescent wrench "C" logo he dragged in with him?

A) The interlocking "UC" logo looks good

2) It's the main logo everywhere else, as far as I can tell, and

iii) His campaign to get everyone to call the university "Connecticut" instead of "UConn" (hence the wrench) was that of a delusional outsider to the institutional, fan and media culture.

Thanks, coach, but no thanks.

I actually kind of like the C logo

and each UConn team has their own logo. The men’s basketball team has the interlocking UC you mention. The women rock a C embracing a basketball. The baseball team has a skinny fancy-looking C.

I don’t care one way or other on the logo really, although if we switch to the UC and start to suck worse, it will undoubtedly be blamed.

Moreso though, I actually like the “Connecticut” speak, and on the contrary I think it’s catching on quite well. For whatever reason, I think of “UConn” as more of an insider / basketball-fan moniker, and “Connecticut” as more representative of the football program.
