Good news: The NCAA is not going to ban UConn from this year's tournament

Yep, the entire mess was all just one big hilariously terrifying misunderstanding. Take it away Jeff Jacobs:

Even better, UConn might not get crushed after all. The NCAA has agreed a 930 APR will be the bar a school has to clear, but it's unclear how it'll be phased in, and the Courant's Don Amore just tweeted that it could be phased in over four years. That last part is essential because even if UConn was spared this year, they were still probably going to get banned from the 2013 tournament if the requirement went to 930 overnight.
