Stanley Robinson is going to picked in the NBA draft tonight

Stanley Robinson, your favorite Husky and mine, is going to be drafted in tonight's NBA draft. Most projections have him going somewhere in the late first round or early second round. I have no clue where he will wind up, but I will only wish him the best. I love Sticks.

Anyway, we'll update this sometime after he is drafted, but you can use this as your defacto NBA draft OpenThread. Enjoy.

To be honest

I could care less about the NBA Draft. The only player that interests me at all is Wall (do we really think Al-Farouq Aminu is going to be an impact player in the NBA?), only one UConn player is going to get picked, and the Knicks don’t have a pick. Once LeBron shuns New York next week, my NBA apathy will be complete.

And the Bulls take a guy from French Guiana

New York fans: “U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A!” I love New York fans.

Question: how will French Guiana guy mesh with LeBron and Bosh?

You know, it would be cosmically funny if Sticks didn't get drafted

Thus delivering the SBNation Curse its newest victim.

That being said, remember when we thought Sticks and Dyson would be sure 1st-rounders, and Gavin would sneak in at the end of the second? Uh yeah.

We should turn this into the AJ Price/Hasheem Thabeet appreciation thread.

And Sticks just makes it

According to Jeff Goodman’s Twitter, Sticks gets taken 59th by Orlando. Actually doesn’t seem like a terrible fit at first glance, though the fact that he fell that far is mind-boggling.

he's going to replace matt barnes

if he can defend nba sf’s and hit corner three’s that all he needs to do to make orlando’s roster

Well ...

In addition to all the wholes in his game we know about, he apparently was crazy nervous in every workout he had, and, as a result, did terrible in them.

And I was reading the Register on the train this morning, and there was a quote from Calhoun along the lines of, “He’s not the type of player who wants to make the all-star game or win a championship.” … So, not sure what that leaves. I don’t think he’ll make the team.
