I still can’t believe that call, even though as an American I should be used to it by now, considering that every time we play a qualifier in some Third-World Central American country, those bad calls are the norm.

UP the US!!!

We’re going to the semis. Here’s why: Because a lot of teams underperformed in our side of the bracket, all the really tough teams ended up on the other side of the bracket, which means it would be until the semis before we’d run up against an Argentina/Brazil/Spain-type team. Plus, we’re blessed by God. A Pro-American God.

Damn straight.

That game yesterday was one of those games where you just let out a primal scream when your team pulls off the impossible. The last time I screamed like that was when the UConn football team scored a TD to pull off a 10-point comeback against Rutgers last October. I don’t want to talk about anything that happened after that.
