Around SBN: The Pros and Cons of an 18-game NFL Schedule

Shortly after the founding of this digest, we began to correspond with the fine folks over at "I Bleed Blue and White," a Villanova blog. Despite beings fans of the cursed Wildcats, the gentlemen over there are an all around good bunch, and so I am happy to note that they are now part of our little corporate SBNation family. They have, however, changed their name (I assume out of admiration for us) to "The Nova Blog." Anyway, civil people that we are, feel free to head over there way and say hello. Also, this means that whatever you do, you should avoid picking 'Nova to go far in March because as we know all too well, the SBNation curse is real.

Nice

Were they something else before? I’m not familiar with them. Their logo is hilarious, as is the guy named Admiral Ackbar, S.J.

/Jesuit joke

This also means that they're both cursed

for today’s game. No clue what the implications of that are, but I assume its a tie or double-forfeit. Either way, they’re both boned for the NCAA’s and I assume our bad luck is gone now. Orange Bowl here we come.

Only one I knew of previously

was Cracked Sidewalks. And this doesn’t appear to be those folks.

No

The lesson is, wait for another Big East team to get an SBNation blog so that the curse transfers over.

UConn may never lose at anything ever again.

Orange Bowl/dual Final Fours or bust in 2011. We're going all-in.
