Blogging the Bracket has UConn in the dance

Well here is a piece of good news to kick off Monday, Chris Dobbertean over at our SBNation neighbor Blogging the Bracket has UConn currently in the field of 65 for the NCAA tournament. Obviously UConn's status depends quite a bit on how they perform tonight, but after a lot of doom and gloom it feels fantastic to see UConn's name listed as a contender.

In the BtB projection, UConn is listed as the third of the "last four in" and has what would appear to be a nice matchup against six-seed Baylor, with New Mexico as the three-seed UConn would potentially play in round two. For the record I'd like to state that if UConn actually got slotted in against those opponents in March I would be deliriously happy.

BtB will have a bubble post up later today to cover his reasoning and I can only imagine it will include UConn (I'll link to it once it is live). As for other Big East bubble teams, Chris has Cincy in his "first four out," Notre Dame in his "next four out" and Seton Hall and South Florida hanging out in his "also considered" box.

Turning away from our (projected) good fortune

to look at the (projected) poor fortune of others, does it crack anyone else up to go to sites like BtB and see Pacific-10 listed in the one-bid leagues column? It makes me smile every time I see it.
