As we all are well aware, UConn and the Big East are going to receive a lot of hate over the next month because we are an 8-4 team going to the BCS. Apparently, we don't "deserve" to be there. Well, frankly I don't care what everyone else is going to say because we did what we had to and won the games. Since I know many others don't care as well, I say we have a little fun with the hate and use this fanpost to keep track of the most creative and humorous hate comments, posts, articles, videos, etc.
I'll start it off with one from the end of the open thread against South Florida.
"Hooray every major media outlet is going to have a field day for the next month ripping on the BE representative who is 8-4 and unranked and is going to be spanked. You guys have really accomplished something, way to go. Man I bet the WHOLE country and the ten UCONN fans in conneticuit will put that game over the top in the tv ratings. What a terrible day for the BE, you should be so proud for helping to further the hate. Maybe you guys can maybe show up to the game and not embarrass yourself and the BE that much. First two losses by suck-an-natty now this. Fantastic, goodnight and good luck you’ll need it.

“This is going to be a massacre. UConn is going to get raped by at least 20 points. Not to mention, how embarrassing is it to send an unranked mediocre team to the BCS. Nothing good can come of this. Oklahoma will gain nothing by destroying UConn and the Big East will just come under harsher criticism.”

to respond to these funny WVU rants. Here goes:

All you had to do was beat UConn, the “POSERS” with the “SORRY” and “NON-DESERVING” butts.

When you say that, I’m confused about what you mean, “would have”? This scenario actually did occur. We played you head-to-head. To address your midseason disclaimer, we were coming off our roughest stretch of the season at that point. But we beat you.
I had a lot more respect for WVU (if not their fans) before these sore losers started to come out of the woodwork. But at least they’re funny

Im not convinced you guys could even beat Duke.. or Wake. Watching a huskie game is like hanging out at a retirement home on a Friday night.. its just painful. Those guys are moving so slow they make Christopher Reeves look like Neo in the Matrix. So much for that WVU should have gone to the BCS since they are the “better” team, eh?
Also, I think its time we bury that West Virginia “saved” the Big East crap and its everyone else who is hurting the league’s image. Losing to ACC teams, one a crappy 6-6 Florida State and the other an always crappy Wolfpack team, I believe does a lot to ruin the league’s image as well.
