Big East Football Power Rankings Week 12

Things seem to have settled out up top this week, with three teams, Pittsburgh, UConn and West Virginia holding a clear advantage. Pitt, who leads the league with just a single conference loss collected all but one first place vote. Personally, I'm glad to see UConn slipped ahead of West Virginia on account of, you know, beating them (and Pitt, and last week's No. 1 team Syracuse). However, I run a blog called "TheUConnBlog," so I'm probably biased.

Everyone else seems to be in just about the right place, with Syracuse and South Florida taking control of the middle of the pack, with Louisville and Cincinnati following behind and Rutgers, of course, bringing up the rear.

Looking forward, Friday night's Backyard Brawl is clearly the matchup to watch. A Pitt win will seemingly lock up the conference for the Panthers, whereas a Mountaineer victory hands the keys to the conference to UConn, with WVU waiting just behind in case UConn screws everything up.
