Endres suspended for remainder of season

Stay connected for news and updates

Starting quarterback Cody Endres has been suspended for the remainder of the season for a violation of university policies, the UConn football team announced today. That was the same reason given when Endres was suspended in the preseason, though that doesn't mean it was the same violation. So much for today being about basketball.

So many questions from all of this. First of all, what happened? Is this at all related to Erik Kuraczea deciding to leave the team yesterday? And who is going to start against Louisville? Will Edsall stay true to the depth chart and go with Mike Box or will we be back to Frazer? More as it happens.

Here's UConn's statement:

STORRS, Conn. (October 20, 2010) --- University of Connecticut junior quarterback Cody Endres (Washington, Pa.) has been suspended from the football team for a violation of University policies. This suspension will be in effect for the rest of the 2010-11 academic year and thus Endres will miss the remainder of the 2010 football season. The University and the Division of Athletics will have no further comment on this issue.
