Leavitt fired by USF
The big Big East news of the day is that South Florida fired head football coach Jim Leavitt after allegations that he mistreated a player. I'm not sure quite how South Florida was shaping up for next season, but you have to assume this will put a big dent in their prospects and it certainly can't hurt UConn's chances in the BE next year.

allegations about fbs coaches are becoming kinda commonplace. there is the texas tech situation. mike leach has sued the school so i will wait until the legal process has taken it’s coarse until i have my own opinion. btw, how many returning starters does uconn. have for their football team next year? thanks.
