Postgame discussion thread: Pitt 67, UConn 57

Bubblicious_medium

Of all the potential "-icious" adjectives I thought I'd be using to describe the UConn basketball team this season, I didn't think I'd be using this one.

You are what your record says you are: 11-5, 2-3 and 0-4 against ranked teams. Right now, I'm getting bad 2006-07 vibes, even though I know this team is much better than that team. But things are not looking good right now.

hadn't really bought it until tonight

but kemba is really struggling. trying to penetrate when theres no lane and forcing passes.

Also, what happened to Sticks down the stretch. He had 19 in the first 30 minutes of the games, but I don’t remember him really touching the ball after that really, really, really, ill-advised three pointer. I’m all for Dyson going hard to the rim, but all he had going for him was the up and under, throw it towards the back board and pray move.

This Pitt team did not look good. They had mismatches down low all night and just weren’t getting the ball in there (or Urak-Hai couldn’t finish his low post moves).

oh and i think the ref called a traveling violation on me when I went to get a hotdog.
