UConn is now a top-10 team

Tenth? Really?

Tenth? Really?

We are a few days late on this one, but I thought it was important to note that UConn is somehow ranked tenth in both the AP and ESPN/USA Today basketball polls. I am the world's biggest homer and even I think that is insane.

To illustrate the point, here is a brief exchange between Meacham and I yesterday:

Me: "Did anyone notice UC is now a top-10 team? I'm not sure if that reflects worse on the AP or on the 300-odd teams that have been voted lower than UConn."

Meacham: " It reflects worse on the AP. We've played two good teams, and we're 0-2 in those games. We don't deserve to be in the top 15, and probably not the top 20."

In my defense, I was feeling particularly optimistic that day.
