Worst. Loss. Ever.
North Carolina 12, UConn 10.
G-d damned epic. May I count the ways?
1) A safety on a holding penalty in the end zone on a 3rd-and-long play that had no hope of being successful anyway.
2) Half the team's major players (Frazer, Lutrus, Twyon Martin, etc.) out with injury
3) A 10-0 blown lead in the fourth quarter at home, in front of a crowd that actually seemed to give a damn; quite possibly the biggest chokejob in the Randy Edsall era
4) Soft prevent defense all fourth quarter, because I guess that never fails
5) NO DID I MENTION A SAFETY IN THE END ZONE ON 3RD AND A MILLION GOD I CAN'T TELL YOU HOW AWFUL A PLAY THAT IS
6) A quarterback who can't complete passes; a backup quarterback who can't complete passes
7) A defensive line that tired because of injury and the fact that the offense scored 10 POINTS AND REALLY 8 POINTS WHEN YOU COUNT THE SAFETY ON 3RD AND A MILLION.
Frustrating. Frustrating. Frustrating. God damn it, that's frustrating.
See you Monday.

That was just incredibly horrible. I’m not sure I can remember a more ridiculous loss.

I have your more ridiculous loss right here: http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/recap?gameId=232840152
A talented UConn squad loses to a Philip Rivers led N.C. State team at N.C. State. UConn had battled back to tie it and was driving for the win when Dan-O through a pick-six with five seconds remaining. But yeah, today was awful.

Can I post my “Fire Edsall” diatribe in advance of next week’s loss? I’m going on vacation and I’d hate to get behind.

I hope you are right…about next week’s loss. I’m a BU fan, but come on…when you consider the players that you guys lost this year, you can’t quite expect this to be on of your best years. Honestly, when you look at your coach’s full body of work, he’s done a heck of a job with that program. I honestly expect BU to take this one by 3 TDs (at least), BUT I looked online and found 2 different guys picking UConn. ?? Anyway, Head FB Coach is probably a harder job that Pres. of the US. Edsall is a great coach. Good luck Saturday (just not too much luck :) )
