Be careful entering the basketball ticket lottery.

The student ticket lottery officially started this afternoon, and students can enter from now until noon on September 29 by heading to UConnHuskies.com, however, the online registration system is complex at best and confusing at worst.

Click thorough after the jump for directions to make sure you actually get your shot at tickets.

First off, you're greeted with a screen that looks like this:

Logging in should be easy enough, but it is important to note that if you have never bought tickets online before, you need to register. If you have registered for previous ticket sales, just be sure to keep in mind that you have a specific ticket account -- the password is NOT necessarily the same as your regular e-mail or peoplesoft password.

That screen is followed by one that looks like this:

After filling it out (just say you're looking for 1 ticket), make sure you hit "add to cart," which will bring you to a screen with a checkout option. Make sure you press "CHECKOUT" that will finally enter you in the lottery. You will know when you are done because you see this screen:

Once you've seen that, you're done. Congratulations, you're now entered in the ticket lottery.
